千钧一发之际，玛薇卡的精神进入夜神之国，带着众人离开。她本人似乎还在「话事处」，去见一见她吧。 Mavuika's spirit enters the Night Kingdom at a critical moment to extract everyone. She seems to still be at the Speaker's Chamber. Time to go visit her

Despite the short stint in the Night Kingdom, Mualani and the others all have some degree of Abyssal contamination.

所幸葵可在治疗恰斯卡的过程中积累了丰富经验，这种污染并无大碍。

But, thanks to Chuychu's extensive experience treating Abyssal contamination, the harmful effects will not be permanent.

The treatment also relieves Kachina's symptoms.

玛薇卡：没错，但这件事一直没有公开，只有在拯救纳塔计划中的少数几人知晓。

Mavuika：That's right, but I've only ever disclosed that fact to the handful of people working with me to save this nation.

Mavuika：Our looming destruction is not a recent development, but the inevitable conclusion of the disaster the Abyss initiated five hundred years ago.

Mavuika：Five hundred years ago, all the nations of Teyvat were invaded by the Abyss.

玛薇卡：纳塔本就不存在像其他国家那样稳固坚实的地脉，所以受入侵的情况也是最严重的。

Mavuika：Unlike the other nations, Natlan never had stable and deep-rooted Ley Lines, so we suffered the worst of the invasion.

玛薇卡：那是一场旷日持久而又无比惨烈的战斗，纳塔以牺牲生命与文明的代价，终于获得了胜利。

Mavuika：The battle against the Abyss was exceedingly long and brutal. In the end, victory came at the cost of our civilization and countless lives.

玛薇卡：我们又花了几百年时间，解决深渊引起的灾难，获得了今日的和平。

Mavuika：Even then, it took centuries of solving the disasters caused by the Abyss to finally achieve the peace we know today.

玛薇卡：——但这些只是表面上的胜利，其实深渊的力量只是被重新赶回了地下而已。

Mavuika：Still, this is but a superficial victory. The forces of the Abyss have merely been driven back underground — their threat to Natlan remains as real as ever.

Mavuika：The problems plaguing the Night Kingdom are all the more complicated because that realm is essentially functioning as Natlan's Ley Lines.

玛薇卡：我们推算出，距离「夜神之国」彻底深渊化，最多还有五百年的时间。

Mavuika：Immediately after the war, our calculations estimated that we would have a maximum of five hundred years before the Night Kingdom was completely lost to the Abyss.

玛薇卡：但在那时，随处都是家破人亡的纳塔人，他们不再相信胜利，也不再相信未来。

Mavuika：But at that time, we were a nation of the destitute. Our people no longer believed in victory, nor did they hold hope for the future.

玛薇卡：文明几近断代，信仰也分崩离析，大灵的力量也无以为继…

Mavuika：Our civilization was dying, our faith crumbling, and the line of power passed down from the Wayob nearly severed...

玛薇卡：如果不能将纳塔重新凝聚到一起，击败深渊只是无稽之谈。

Mavuika：If we didn't bring the nation back together, it would be foolish to even dream of defeating the Abyss in the future.

玛薇卡：所以神明与各部族英雄商议许久，最终制定了长达五百年的拯救纳塔的大计划。

Mavuika：So, the Archon had a long and involved discussion with the heroes of each tribe, and finally came up with a five hundred year-long plan to save Natlan.

玛拉妮：原来是这样吗…

Mualani：So that's what happened...

玛拉妮：在找到卡齐娜之后，我看到了一个陌生的人影，他给了我很多本来不属于我的记忆。

Mualani：After finding Kachina, I encountered a strange figure who gave me a series of new memories.

玛拉妮：其中提到的就是这个计划，我被选作了重要的一员。

Mualani：Since the plan was mentioned in those memories... I guess I've been chosen to play an important role in it.

玛拉妮：但我不理解的是，我在记忆中看到的火神，为什么就是你呢？

Mualani：But, there's still something I don't understand. Those memories showed me the Pyro Archon from back then... and it was you.

Paimon：Huh!? But, that doesn't make any sense! The Pyro Archon is supposed to be human. It's impossible for a human to live that long!

玛薇卡：没错，人类最难超越的，就是时间，或者说寿命这个概念。

Mavuika：That's right. The hardest thing for humans to overcome has always been time — or rather, the natural limitations of our lifespan.

玛薇卡：可能对于魔神来说，一些神力或者诅咒，就能做到延续人类的生命——

Mavuika：A god can extend a human's life by using a certain amount of divine power, or subjecting them to a curse.

玛薇卡：但众所周知，纳塔并没有这样的存在，我们只能靠自己想办法。

Mavuika：But, as we all know, Natlan doesn't have gods like that. We can only rely on our own methods.

玛薇卡：生命就像一团终将燃尽的火焰，我在五百年前就把生命存入了圣火。

Mavuika：A human life is like a flame destined to be extinguished. Five hundred years ago, I placed my life within the Sacred Flame.

玛薇卡：在过去提前死去，才能在现在再次醒来。

Mavuika：Only by dying before my time could I have the chance to wake up again.

恰斯卡：简单来说就是…第二次生命？

Chasca：So, in other words, this is your... second life?

旅行者：也是为了推进那个计划？

Traveler：That was all part of the plan?

玛薇卡：是的，当年正是因为部族团结合一，才能击退深渊。

Mavuika：Yes. We only managed to defeat the Abyss all those years ago because the tribes came together as one.

玛薇卡：那么为了确保在五百年后纳塔与深渊能有一战之力，接下来的火神就必须复兴被摧毁的部族。

Mavuika：If the Natlan of the future was to have a fighting chance, the Pyro Archons that came after the war had to rebuild the decimated tribes.

玛薇卡：复兴部族是为了把人们重新凝聚在一起，让那个部族的大灵重新恢复力量。

Mavuika：The goal was to reunite the people and restore the strength of each tribe's Wayob.

玛薇卡：而作为完全复兴的证明，大灵会选出一位「英雄」，表明部族已经做好战争的准备。

Mavuika：Once a tribe was back to its full strength, the tribe's Wayob would select a "hero," indicating the tribe was once again ready for war.

玛薇卡：——就像五百年前，那些伟大的英雄站在我身边那样。

Mavuika：The chosen would then stand by my side in defense of our nation, just like great heroes of old, five hundred years ago.

玛拉妮：所以，我就是那个英雄？

Mualani：So that means... I'm one of the chosen?

玛薇卡：是的，你所拥有的古名，和五百年前代表「流泉之众」的战士相同，意为「团结」。

Mavuika：That's right. You bear the Ancient Name, "Umoja," the same one held by the hero from your tribe five hundred years ago. It means "unity."

Mavuika：After your adventure in the Night Kingdom, I trust you've come to fully understand the meaning of that Name.

派蒙：也就是说，你之前就知道大灵会选谁？

Paimon：So, in other words... You always knew who the Wayob were going to pick from each tribe?

玛薇卡：嗯，按照计划，我苏醒的时候所有部族都已经完成了复兴，可是计划出了意外。

Mavuika：Yes. According to the plan, each tribe was supposed to have been fully restored by the time I awoke. But, something went wrong alone the way...

玛薇卡：六位英雄虽然获得了五百年前的六个古名，但有关计划的情报都没有传达给他们。

Mavuika：The six heroes successfully inherited the Ancient Names from five hundred years ago, but the intel regarding the plan wasn't passed on to them.

玛薇卡：原因还是夜神之国的恶化，圣火和大灵的沟通受阻。

Mavuika：Once again, it comes down to the deterioration of the Night Kingdom. Communication between the Sacred Flame and the Wayob has been blocked.

伊安珊：就像还魂诗没办法把卡齐娜带回来一样。

Iansan：Just like how the Ode of Resurrection failed to bring Kachina back.

玛薇卡：嗯，这也是深渊力量采取的手段之一，它虽然没有智慧，但从来都不好对付。

Mavuika：Exactly. It's just another tactic the Abyss is using against us. The Abyss may not possess intelligence, but its methods certainly aren't easy to counter.

Mavuika：If we want to unblock that information from being passed on, my presence alone isn't enough. The Ancient Name bearer must establish a greater connection to their Name.

玛薇卡：是的，但是没办法，既然英雄还没有聚齐，计划就缺乏启动的条件。

Mavuika：Yes, but we have no choice. We cannot start the plan until all the heroes have been gathered.

玛薇卡：这就是为什么情况迫在眉睫，但我依然无法采取行动。

Mavuika：That's also why I haven't been able to take action despite the urgency of the situation.

玛拉妮：既然火神大人知道的话，为什么不直接告诉我？这样不是快得多吗？

Mavuika：On their own, each item's power is limited, but, together, their combined effect can prove quite useful in a dire situation.

Mavuika：By burning those items, I was able to activate the Contending Fire stored within them to open the boundary between the two worlds.

Mavuika：It was a rather crude approach, so all their power was depleted in an instant, as you can see.

派蒙：但那些都是很珍贵的东西，每件都有故事…

Paimon：But, weren't they all precious treasures? What about their stories...?

Mavuika：Besides, when those heroes entrusted their belongings to me, or the Pyro Archon of their time, it was out of a desire to contribute to Natlan's survival.

Mavuika：If they knew those items helped save the present-day heroes of Natlan, they would not mourn their loss.

Mavuika：The Abyss is the most formidable enemy in all of Teyvat. In the beginning, it took failure and tragedy to even begin to learn how to fight back.

玛薇卡：你在其他地方见到的种种做法，其实都建立在传承而来的经验与智慧之上，不是每个人都理解其中的原理。

Mavuika：All of the methods you've seen in other nations were developed based on experience and insight passed down over generations. We know them to work, but few of us actually understand why.

玛薇卡：元素力对抗深渊也是如此，它在久远的过去就已经成为了我们可靠的武器。

Mavuika：It's the same for the method we use here in Natlan. Ever since ancient times, Elemental energy has been one of our most reliable weapons against the Abyss.

Mavuika：As for the principles behind it... I'm afraid you might have to seek answers from someone older than the position of Pyro Archon itself.

玛薇卡：但是大灵的力量也是有限的，不能给予离开纳塔的人同等程度的庇护，这就往往会引起一些记忆与情感上的问题。

Mavuika：But, their power has its limits. They cannot offer our people the same degree of protection outside our borders. In fact, people who do decide to leave often suffer from memory loss and emotional issues.

Mavuika：Everyone in Natlan understands this. That's why our people never leave without a good cause. Even if someone is left with no choice, the chief of their tribe must seek approval with the Wayob to grant them leave.

Mavuika：The Wayob have always been very strict about granting that approval, since extending protection beyond our borders means consuming power reserved for our fight against the Abyss.

Mavuika：Still, there's no need to worry. The Wayob extend their protection to all within Natlan, including visitors from afar.
